Travis County basically completed our budget markup on Wednesday this week and funded basic mandated expenditures that help us meet our obligations as a governmental entity. We will most likely wind up reducing the tax rate from $.5001 to $.4964, about $5. The impact on taxpayers will be about $20. We are returning $77 million to taxpayers through exemptions: $55 million to homeowners, the rest to elderly, disabled and veteran homeowners.
