Trawling through the output this morning suggests a certain amount of Northern Blocking near the UK. The effect should be to keep much of Scotland away from the effects of Mondays low pressure which looks likely to cross England. We also see a sharp rise in 850hpa temperatures with the 564 dam line up over the south on Tuesday. This suggests a lot of rain potential down here, either from intial frontal activity or showers near the low centre. Beyond that it remains unsettled for a while with pressure weak across the south although longer term suggests an improvement in conditions but thats a long way off. My advise would be make the most of the weekend and not wait until Monday if you are In England and Wales
