Tread Water (Hope for new voices that break the silence of our times) Don’t jump in the water if you can’t swim, no lifeguard will save you from the howling winds; rip currents can pull you out into the deeper end where water becomes a dangerous friend! Tread water. Save life. Don’t follow leaders who dwell in the past; they are ships without rudders, sails or a mast. They will sail you around and then sell you out; they have forgotten the way in an ocean of doubt. Puppet, who holds your strings? Lost cause with a hollow ring. Children find your own harbor, build your own dream and share your gifts with all living things. Young people have courage and make your own way, shed the hate of the past and live for today and a bright tomorrow. Keep your eyes wide open and your heart in its place and be not fooled by lips that have nothing to say. Talkers, running to and fro, like rats in a maze, treat us like fools but we are bright souls. They are writing the script out in Hollywood, for the drama that unfolds in Washington; but the actors are real and so is the blood! They will make you a star and give you the world; the keys to the Kingdom, and diamonds and pearls. Like Jesus in the desert subjected to temptation, by the Devils who rule every nation; we are the master of our own destiny; and though they wait for the end, patiently, to receive the nod for the Oscar from the Academy; we are given the will and choice to be free. Soul seeker, ain’t no friend! places a price on everything. The fire that burns hottest, is the fire of your life, no man controls it, it is yours to sacrifice for love or for money the will and the mind; this is how the spirit is defined.
