Treadle belt questions....I need to attach a belt to my 66 and cant find concise information on how to do it...One page suggested oiling the belt while another claims oil causes the leather to slip. A friend at a sewing shop said to soak the belt in water before measuring and punching holes. She says this will cause the leather to shrink and work better.....Has anyone used the rubber replacement belts? Where is my Grandma when I need her....Oops, I am now the grandma...Thanking you in advance for your responses. ☺
