Treehouse Update - Been asked why I havent uploaded some pictures in awhile. Well due to the sun going to bed early and the cold weather, I have focused on working on support items and such that really do not warrant pictures. The treehouse section of the floor has been completely insulated with 7.5 of Styrofoam (yes, seven and a half inches). I started with the blow-in cellulose but the drop cloths that I used to protect the flooring from the rain did not work as well as hoped, which saturated the insulation, which saturated the wood, etc. So it was removed and replaced with 1.5 thick slabs of the white stuff. It should protect that floor from the breezy Oklahoma winters. With that finished the flooring for the treehouse was fastened down. i bought a 19x19 tarp to keep it protected until Im able to start assembling walls and the roof. That moved me to shore up the supports for the beams. I used massive grade 8 bolts to really tie the large beams together. I also added an additional post to the southern portion of the treehouse because I felt it needed it. It will also be the post that is the base for the utilities running into it. Finally today with some decent weather, after a few service calls I was able to get in just 2 hours of work and was able to get the deck railing vertical posts attached and leveled. Hoping that I get awarded with a few more hours tomorrow to enjoy the weather and maybe work downwards along the staircase and finish up the posts around the deck!! It is so much fun!
