Tri-County YMCA is seeking Afterschool Program Site Aides who will be responsible for leading, directing, and implementing a structured educational and recreational Afterschool Program for children Kindergarten through 5th grade. The Site Aide must possess the ability to work with children and co-workers in a structured setting. Individual must be able to relate to children, parents, and fellow staff members in a mature and sensitive way consistent with the YMCA philosophy. Aides must be at least 18 years of age and possess a high school diploma or equivalent. This individual must have the ability to interact and communicate clearly with all program participants, parents, school personnel, and fellow staff members in a positive manner. This position requires the ability to provide for the physical and emotional needs of children in grades Kindergarten through 5th. The ability to set up and break down program supplies and equipment is necessary. This person also must have an up to date certification in infant/child CPR and First Aid. This person must also maintain an annual Child Abuse Prevention training certification through the YMCA.
