After the two rounds of Penrith (UK) and La Mongie (France), the summer break begins for the World Trial Championship, that will held the final race in Arnedo (Spain) on 6 and 7 September. The standings are still open and the riders will define their final rankings in the championships during the very last round in Spain. In the last two races, Jeroni Fajardo Vila got two very important podiums, James Dabill did great in his home race, but suffered a bit in the French round. - Penrith (UK), 19 and July 20, 2014 Day 1 The enthusiast public and many participant at the UK round of the World Trial Championship was the setting for the great success of the event. The race course was entirely located within a particular quarry with red rocks and slabs surrounded by natural grassland. The weather was typically British, with intense rain and rare sunshine, this made the path of the first day of the race very muddy and slippery. The following areas were built in the opposite direction compared to last year, with the introduction of a completely new area with a very scenic passage on the shore of a small lake. Section number 3 and 8 were very impressive for the size of the obstacles. In the World Pro, Jeroni Fajardo fight constantly, but unfortunately made mistakes in the second lap and lost the third step of the podium. James Dabill suffered, like every rider, the little traction available on the course, a good second lap of the race allowed him to win the 6th place. In the World Cup, a stratospheric Jaime Busto got the victory leaving no chance to his opponents to get close to him. Second step of the podium for Quentin Carles de Gaudemberg capable of a continuous growing season. Day 2 The good weather without rain and sunny progressively made the journey more dry, the grip on the rocks were much improved and facilitated the riders who have significantly lowered the number of penalties. In the World Pro, Jeroni Fajardo led a very regular race, high-level without any major mistakes, snatched third place with great determination. James Dabill with an extraordinary 3rd lap of the race and overcoming the difficult area n.3, won the 5th place overall. In the World Cup we saw a close fight between Jaime Busto and Franz Kadlec, and at the end the winner Kadlec, who is scoring two laps with no penalties! In third place on the podium the Beta Frenchman Quentin Carles de Gaudemberg, which now also won third the place in the overall standings. - La Mongie (France), July 27, 2014 After the Tour de France, the city of La Mongie in the Pyrenees, at 1900 meters above sea level, hosted the penultimate round of the World Trial Championship. The fantastic scenery that was the set for the race course was developed between the slopes up to an altitude of 2400 mt. The areas were very spectacular, located between stones and boulders interspersed with a few large stretch of slippery grass, designed to impress the large audience present at the event. One particular section was at the limit of feasibility, only the riders of the podium including Jeroni Fajardo have been able to finish it without taking penalty points. In the World Pro, Jeroni Fajardo wins a deserved 3rd place overall (and 4th podium of the season) that allowed him to regain the 4th position in the provisional championship. James Dabill suffered a bad day, unfortunately, does not go over the 10th place overall. In the World Cup, Jaime Busto, thanks to an excellent comeback, fiinishes in second place, increasing his lead in the championship on his direct opponent Franz Kadlec who finished in 5th place .
