Trials for the PFAI over40s International Squad - Details: We are holding 2 trial games on Sunday 20th of October at Lucan United FC Celbridge Park, meeting at 1pm. This will give all Ex League of Ireland PFAI players who are 40+ years old and if they meet the criteria the opportunity to trial to be considered for the final squad in 2013. The current squad will need to trial also. Criteria The concept behind these trial games is to give all PFAI Ex Professional and Ex League of Ireland players the opportunity to trial to be considered for selection for the PFAI over40s International squad. We want to be fair to everyone around the country. . All Players MUST be 40 years old + by birth certificate · Players must have played at League of Ireland level or higher · All players must be in a position to commit to Travelling, Training, Social events and of course the games · Players must be at a reasonable level of fitness and general health · We would encourage all players to sign up with their local over35s team to keep fit, and to get regular training and game time (this will benefit players in the selection process) 20 Players will be selected after the trial games in preparation for the upcoming AJAX game in Dublin on the 9th of November Then only 18 players will be chosen in the final squad to play in the AJAX game – 2 x Goal Keepers & 16 x Outfield players, the other 2 players will be on standby. The trial games will take place on Sunday 20th of October at Lucan United FC, Celbridge Park, Celbridge Road.
