Tribalism as well as tribal(ism) labels are both dangerous for - TopicsExpress

Tribalism as well as tribal(ism) labels are both dangerous for national cohesion and development! We cant fight tribalism by merely puting labels of tribalism on one ethnicity or another! Ghana is poly-ethnic. More than 40 ethnic groupings.. I wonder how effective or possible is it to call for tribal balance in govt(instead of regional balance). If we keep identifying appointees by their ethnicity in which such common large numeric tribal appointments faulter no provision of our 1992 constitution, yet we get peeved, worried or felt a tribal disrimination is at play we are endagering national cohesion. Some graduate, fisherman, farmer or carpenter is really suffering somewhere and his region is underdeveloped, his immediate families are poor too.. Yet he/she is suffering another label of tribal bigotary and can even be get killed or denied opportunities and love because his tribe or ethnicity is labeled as tribal bigots.. Labels are not the way to go... We have a lot to read from historical predicaments tribalism and tribal labels has plunged Ghana, Burundi(Ruwanda) and many nations into. Spread your imagination more than emotions especially on tribal, race and religious issues...
