Tribulation and What A Christian Believer Should - TopicsExpress

Tribulation and What A Christian Believer Should Expect: “Because strait {narrow} is the gate, and narrow {#2346:thlibo} is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it” Matthew 7:14. ...hard the road to life.. BBE; CEV ...a cramped gate... CLV ...tribulated the way... ECB ...the road that lead to life are full of trouble... GW “...and difficult is the way which leads to life...” NKJV “...and constricted is the way...” Literal Translation; AS; “...and the way is hard...” English Standard Yes, as Christians, Born-again Believers who remain in this fallen flesh... “We are troubled {#2346:thlibo} on every side {in every way}, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed; Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body” 2 Corinthians 4:8-10. “For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no rest, but we were troubled {#2346:thlibo} on every side {in every way}; without were fightings, within were fears” 2 Corinthians 7:5 (“...outside were conflicts, inside were fears...” NKJV). Things we can see... “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall (1) tribulation, or (2) distress, or (3) persecution, or (4) famine, or (5) nakedness, or (6) peril, or (7) sword?” Romans 8:27. Things we can’t see... “For I am persuaded, that neither (1)death, nor (2)life, nor (3)angels, nor (4)principalities, nor (5)powers, nor (6)things present, nor (7)things to come, Nor (8)height, nor (9)depth, nor (10) any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” Romans 8:38, 39. The Tribulation Period: I believe the tribulation period, this last and final week of the 70-weeks of Daniels prophecy, begins with the enforcement of the covenant with the Coming World Leader (not the rapture...) Daniel 9:27. I find it interesting that Jesus encompasses this entire seven-year period as the tribulation, the Great Tribulation falls right in the middle, beginning at the 3 ½ year mark of the 7 year period. In Mathew 24:9, the Greek word θλίψις thlipsis (Strong’s #2347) is used. The Greek thlipsis: beginning with persecution and ending with the warning by the Lord Jesus, “...he that shall endure to the end, the same shall be saved”, the ‘Gospel’ being preached in all the world for a witness unto all the nations, and the Jews fleeing into the mountains. Compare this with Revelation 6:9-11; 7:1-17; Isaiah chapter 63. In Matthew 24:21, the Greek words μέγας θλίψις megas thlipsis (Strong’s #3176 and #2347), are used, the great tribulation which marks out the middle of the 7 year period or 3 ½ years. Lastly, to close the period out, in Matthew 24:29, the Greek θλίψις thlipsis (Strong’s #2347) is once again used. “...Immediately after the tribulation of those days...” The Son of Man returns {prelude to the gathering of the elect; the Millennium; Judgment of Nations}. See Revelation chapter 19; Matthew 25:31-46. Matthew 24:31: This verse stands alone: “And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet (Isaiah 27:13), and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” This is a quote from Deuteronomy 30:4, regarding God’s people Israel: “If any of thine be driven out unto the outmost parts of heaven, from thence will the LORD thy God gather thee, and from thence will he fetch thee.” Strong‘s #2347, thlipsis, is used 5x in the book of Revelation. Interestingly, Strong‘s #2346: thlibo is not mentioned at all in Revelation(?). Revelation 1:9; John personal tribulation in this life Revelation 2:9,10: Smryna corporate church tribulation in this life Revelation 2:22: Thyatira church: some will go into great tribulation {megas thlipsis} Revelation 7:14:Great crowd come out of great tribulation. The Purposes of the Great Tribulation Is ALL About Israel...NOT The Church: Israels possession of the land was conditional: IT REQUIRED OBEDIENCE! (Leviticus 26:40-44; Four times in this chapter, God to punish Israel 7x more for their disobedience: vss 18, 21, 24, 28). * To make an end of wickedness and wicked ones (Psalm 37:9-11; Isaiah 13:9; 24:19, 20). * To bring about a world-wide revival (Revelation 7:1-17; Matthew 24:14). * To break the power of the Holy People: Israel (Daniel ch 11; 12:5-7; Ezekiel 20:34-38; Hosea 5:15). The Time of Jacob’s Trouble: Jeremiah 30:4-7: Israel is “God’s first born” (Exodus 4:22, 23); therefore, he receives a double portion (Deuteronomy 21:17; Jeremiah 16:16-18). “‘Comfort ye, comfort ye my people’, saith your God. ‘Speak ye comfortably to Jerusalem, and cry unto her, that her warfare is accomplished, that her iniquity is pardoned: for she hath received of the Lords hand double for all her sins’” Isaiah 40:1-2. Isaiah 3:1 - 4:1 “The Lord standeth up to plead, and standeth to judge the people. The Lord will enter into judgment with the ancients of his people, and the princes thereof...” vss 13-14. The final week tribulation and the mid-week Great Tribulation: Israel is the focal point; not Christians; Gentles indirectly as a consequence. Read: Ezekiel 13:1-7; Zechariah 13:2-6; Joel 2:1-11; 3:14-17; Amos 5:18-20; Zephaniah 1:7-18. We must remember these prophecies were written to and for Daniels people, the Jews; not to Christians; not to Gentiles... Listen: Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, (1) to finish the transgression, and (2) to make an end of sins, and (3) to make reconciliation for iniquity, and (4) to bring in everlasting righteousness, and (5) to seal up the vision and prophecy, and (6) to anoint the most Holy Daniel 9:24 (see also Daniel 10:14; compare Daniel 9:6, 15, 16, 19). “And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince which standeth for the children of thy people: and there shall be a time of trouble {#6256; #6869, עת צרה eth tsarah}, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that shall be found written in the book” Daniel 12:1. Again-The Seven Year Period Is The Tribulation For Israel: God has not abandoned His chosen people Israel! O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not! Behold, your house is left {#863: forsaken} unto you desolate. For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord Matthew 23:37-39. Yes! ...till ye shall say... FOR ISRAEL THERE IS A HOPE!!! “I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction {#6862, tsar} they will seek me early” Hosea 5:15 Yes! ... till they acknowledge their offence... AND ISRAEL WILL!! “After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up: That the residue of men might seek after the Lord, and all the Gentiles, upon whom my name is called, saith the Lord, who doeth all these things. Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world” Acts 15:16-18 (quoting Amos 9:11, 12)! Yes! .. I {The LORD} will return... “And when he was come near, he beheld the city, and wept over it, Saying, If thou hadst known, even thou, at least in this thy day, the things which belong unto thy peace! but now they are hid from thine eyes” Luke 19:41-42. Judicial blindness upon the nation of Israel! Jesus held them accountable in knowing Daniels prophecy and realize the time their King would show up! “For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in” Romans 11:25. “Brethren, my hearts desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved” Romans 10:1. Israels blindness would be lifted!!! “I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin” Romans 11:1. With all this said, I see and hear the Holy Spirit loudly proclaim that the Body of Christ will NOT go through the tribulation and experience Gods wrath upon this wicked, unrighteous and perverse world.
