Tribute To My Daddy ... Reminiscing about Sunday, April 23, 1967, My daddy ROCKED. If I could just talk with him one more time. Wow, what a day to remember. Forty seven years ago today daddy you went home to be with the Lord. As long as I live I will always cherish and remember everything you taught me. I could not understand why the Lord would take you from me at such a tender age, but I guess He knew I would survive. Who would have thought on that Sunday, I would be the last one to ride with you to service and you would hear me sing for the very last time, and I would hear you preach your very last sermon Your topic was: For whom the Lord loves He chastens. Scripture: Hebrews 12:6 (that was a lot to digest as a 15 yrs. old). Daddy, there is not a day go by I don’t think about you. Can I just say this to you daddy? You left me with so much spiritual enrichment, and because of your holy boldness I believe that’s why I’ve become the woman I am today. I want you to know I’ve not been selfish and I have tried to share many of the things you taught me with so many others that I’ve connected with. Thank you daddy, not bragging but with a HUMBLE spirit I believe I’ve made you proud. Just one other thing you know I always had that humorous side, might I add I’m still pleasingly plump and FINE (lol) #Imissyousomuchdaddy --- Happy Wednesday!
