Trick-Shot Quarterback Alex Tanney Added to Tennessee Titans Practice Squad: The Tennessee Titans are having a tough 2014 season at 2-12, but at least they now have the privilege of employing the leagues most YouTube-worthy quarterback. The Titans signed Alex Tanney to the practice squad Tuesday, according to Pro Football Talks Darin Gantt. The Tanney signing wont move the needle much for Tennessee, but at least it gives us an excuse to re-post this epic video: Tanney gained a cult following after his trick-shot montage went viral in 2011. He played his college ball at Division III Monmouth College, setting the all-time NCAA mark with 157 career touchdown passes. Since then, Tanney has been a football nomad, bouncing between practice squads around the league. One of his stops included a brief stint in Cleveland when he served as the third-string quarterback behind Jason Campbell and Brandon Weeden. Tennessee marks the fifth team Tanney has played for since entering the league in 2012. Its unlikely hell see any game action this year, though Tanney could be promoted to active status if starter Charlie Whitehurst gets injured in Thursdays game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
