Marketers are successfully targeting spiritual consumers as a market niche and figuring out exactly what fulfills their self-centered yearnings. How many of these products are necessary for spiritual enlightenment? Probably not one. - Stephanie Kaza, “Ego in the Shopping Cart” - personally, from my own self-centered point of view, in the past i too have been taken in by thinking i wasn not enough, i wasnt meditating enough, not following the right teachings on the right path and needed constant upgrading and uplifting in was open to any and all sales pitches from hither and yon to help create someone new, shiny and hip, slick and cool - oh, and super-enlightened!!! now, some time later [or no time later] i couldnt care less. i dont need to know much - as a matter of fact, ive kinda gotten accustomed to not knowing much of anything - and am very at home, at peace within myself, as i fail tests testing how much i know....huh?! i have as little time for playing games [the ones us humans like to play, on all levels] as i do for self- improvement....i am not the new and improved model of me.....i am. simply. that. how about you?? in gassho, palsm together, bowing and entrusting in the Primal Vow of Amida Buddha.
