Trigger warning for abuse and assault Artworks interpreting the scenes of Saatchi throttling his then-wife Nigella Lawson in a London restaurant last June are on sale through Saarchi’s own website, saatchiart. The disturbing works show images of a distressed Nigella in various drawings and paintings, including a particularly distasteful one with a smirking Saatchi against a colourful backdrop. Another image of a choked Nigella is titled simply Art Collector Throttling a Cook. Another, Last Course, features Nigella on a chopping board, in a pop-art style with a thought bubble stating ‘‘So this is how it all ends’’. Prices of the works range from $US250 to $US30,000 ($266-$32,000), of which Saatchi gets a reported 30 per cent commission.
