Trinity College Dublin Students’ Union welcome the passing of both referendums on direct provision for asylum-seekers and the adoption of the new constitution. Direct Provision: Total Valid Poll: 331 Yes: 228 No: 103 New Constitution: Total Valid Poll: 340 Yes: 288 No: 47 TCDSU President Tom Lenihan welcomed the result saying “we are happy to see these referendums being passed. We will make sure that the introduction of the new constitution will go as smoothly as possible and that the union campaigns for the rights of asylum seekers.”
