Trinity County Animal Shelter is full, Full, FULL!!! According to the staff at the Shelter, this happens every year after the Cannabis Growing Season is over. They get a large amount of strays during this time.... Hmmmm.... While this Shelter does not euthanize for space, they have a contract with a City Shelter in another County that does. The dogs are transferred there when there is no room left at this Inn. The Domino Effect kicks in when this has to happen. So, the dogs at that Shelter are at risk. The following dogs may get sent to the other Shelter this week if not Rescued or adopted. These have all been at the Shelter for at least 2-4 weeks. Now, the new dogs are flooding in and these guys need a safe place to land River:He is a Boxer/ Shepard Mix and is about 3 years old. He is Also Neutered. He is good with kids, cats, and dogs. Zoey: She is a Shep/ Cattle Dog Mix. She is Spayed and is 2 years old. She gets along with dogs and kids. Zoey was adopted and returned due to the adopter not having a high enough fence. Unfortunately, they werent able to increase the height of the fence Dixie: She is 10 months old..She is a PlottHound cross. She is good with other dogs and cats and knows her commands, sit/stay. Shadow: Shadow is a female lab mix spay 7 years old. She was dumped in Weaverville. She loves to sit up for a treat Please, contact the Trinity County Animal Shelter if you can Rescue or Adopt. 530-623-1370 Please Share
