Trip to Morocco 8 day from Marrakech Day 1: Arrival in Marrakech) Greeting at Marrakech Menara airport, transfer to your hotel or Riad in Marrakech. Day 2 : Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Draa Valley - Zagora (360 km) Departure is planned from Marrakech at 8h00 in the morning, we take the road to cross High Atlas mountains via the Tizi NTichka pass towards Ouarzazate, you can have lunch in a restaurant with a panoramic view of the famous Kasbah of Taourirt which presents the historical and cultural interest of Ouarzazate. After lunch you will travel to the south and cross the second pass which is Tizi NTnifift at 1660m, you will reach the first administrative centre called Agdz that marks the source of Draa Valley. You will continue through the lunar landscapes and the Pre-Sahara routes until you get to Zagora which is a small town, the native region of Saadian dynasty. 20 km further more you will arrive to Tamgroute, a small village where most of locals are pottery artisans, Tamgroute is also well know by its old Coranic school and library collecting the old books. You will be back to Zagora where you can spend your first night. Day 3: Zagora - Nkob - Alnif - Rissani - Rissani - Merzouga Dunes (320 km) After breakfast, you depart from Zagora towards the famous dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. The adventure continues along the valley of Draa. You will have a free time for lunch in Alnif, After that, you will continue to Rissani city, the original capital of the Alawites Sultans. Rissani is known for its important market for caravans of sub-Saharian region Sijilmassa and the Moulay Ali Cherif gate. Afterwards, you will cross the Erg Chebbi to arrive to Merzouga dunes. From here, the caravan begins by exchanging your transportation by camels, a camel trek over the dunes at the sunset, this is where you can spend the night in a beber tent in the middle of the desert. Day 4: Merzouga - Erfoud - Tinghir - Todra Gorges (200 km) A wake up early morning to admire the sunrise, if you wish it of course. After the breakfast, we will leave to Erfoud, a city known for fossils, you will cross the Tafilalt oasis, a short break to see the ancient system of irrigation before you arrive to Tinjdad. Continuation to Todra Gorges where you will have free time for lunch and you can take a walk along the gorges, local restaurant are available between the canyons of Todra gorges. In the afternoon, you visit the city of Tinghir espacially the Jewish district. . Day 5:Todra Gorges -Dades Valley -Roses Valley - Ait Ben Haddou (180 km) We start the tour via the Dades valley with its beautiful landscapes, Kasbahs and panoramic views of the ocre mountains where the colors and contrast changes every 200m. You will join the principal road nicknamed the road of 1000 kasbahs for many of the Kasbah you cross, then you will visit the city of roses called Kelaa Mgouna, a rose festival is celebrated every year in this city, then the fascinating Skoura palmeraie 50km before getting to Ouarzazate. You will continue to Ait Ben Haddou village, the fortified ksar with its beautiful Kasbahs, Ait Ben Haddou is classified as human heritage by the UNESCO and it has served as a natural decoration for many movies. Once you get to Ait Ben Haddou village, you will have free time for lunch in a local restaurant overlooking the Kasbah, then you take a walk to go on the top of the hill to dominate the whole village. Day 6: Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah - Telouet - Marrakech (180 km) Departure to Marrakech via the beautiful Ounila Valley following the previous caravan trail just recently renovated which used to exchange the products coming from sub-sahara Africa with Marrakech. Lunch at Telouet. Possible visit of the kasbah before returning back through out the Hight Atlas. Day 7: Marrakech Tour Full day sightseeing of Marrakesh, the city wich was founded by the Almoravids in the 11th century, you will discover The Bahia Palace, The Saadian Tombs, the Koutoubia mosque and the famous Djemaa El Fna square with its surrounding souks and handicraft centres. Overnight in Marrakech. Day 8: Marrakech - Departure Transfer to the airport of Marrakech. End of Service.
