Tristateweather has issued a meatball WARNING in effect. That means eat your meatballs as much as you can through tomorrow night. Another meatball watch is used for Sunday (for a storm for Monday). Again this is NOT a huge storm. I called for 3 to 6 inches as a starting point this morning. The problem is that high. it that was in Canada and this storm came in, boy we would be sitting pretty for a decent storm. For now it is a messy storm. S&E of 287 will change or mix for a time to knock down accumulations. N&W of 287 will see more snow but you cannot get past too further of i84 because of less moisture. That area should see 3 to 6 inches. NYC I think 1-3 is good. Li 1-2. Now will it turn back to snow? Not if it does not bomb out quick enough. Again a complex storm but we really need to get a thump of snow to begin with and maybe we get some surprises with it. Can we get a turn over back to snow wit ha surprise? Yes but not likely. So eat your meatballs and maybe we can get a surprise or two. Again it is a minor (nyc/coast/nj) to moderate (Ct/NW of 287) snowfall. The Monday storm is colder but again complex.
