Triumph And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.(Colossians 2:15) When we look at the crucifixion through human eyes and human wisdom,we cant see much victory and triumph.We see Jesus despised and rejected,smitten and afflicted,chastised and beaten,bruised and spit on.Nailed to a cross,suffering shame.Dying and placed in a tomb.But that body came forth from that tomb. Satan must have trembled because he had defeated himself.Jesus had accomplished victory over sin and death and anyone can partake of that victory by simple faith. What the Law and all the animal sacrifices could never do Jesus accomplished and through His death and resurrection and His victory over sin and death has provided the perfect salvation. For Satan and his hoard their doom was sealed.Jesus spoiled principalities and powers and triumphed over them. No human reasoning cant understand this victory.Only through spiritual eyes can we see and understand. But this victory will be realized when we are resurrected and then come back to this earth with Our Savior when He comes back to rule and reign and after that Satan and his hoard will meet their doom. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first.Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words.(1Thessalonians 4:14-18) For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again This is our comfort and our hope.The only event we are to look for is this coming of Jesus for His Church.Satan and his hoard cannot stop or delay that event.That is the next event and it can come any moment.The victory has been won.He has triumphed and soon it will be realized.
