Trixie The Great and Awesome hears a lot of Pone Page Admins complaining that the only way to get Reach on Facebook is by paying for it. But Trixie knows that if you pay to Boost your posts your page will actually get WORSE Reach. You heard Trixie - if you are a page that depends on Organic Engagement, for its Reach, then paying to Boost a post will make your long term Reach WORSE! It might sound confusing, but basically - if you pay for Boost the Reach you are buying is going to be made up of ponies who respond to ads - not ponies who respond to posts! And the ponies who respond to paid advertisements tend to NOT be the kinds of fans who will respond to your normal posts. So Boosting your Reach actually rots your Organic Engagement, so your non-boosted posts will be seen by fewer and fewer ponies over time! And the more you pay to Boost your posts, the more your page will have fans that only respond to paid advertisements, so your normal posts will be engaged by fewer and fewer Organic fans, and your Reach will drop lower and lower. If your page is one that depends on Organic Engagement to get its Reach, Boosting your posts hurts the fundamental basis on which your page is designed to work. If you want a page that depends on paid reach, then go for it - Boost to your hearts delight. But you will have to boost EVERYTHING ALL THE TIME because your audience will be largely comprised of ponies who only respond to paid advertisements.
