Trolls are Good! (Parent): Dont you all realize that the trolls only show up when this page is starting to hit on a vulnerable or sensitive issue for the board? Dont you understand that the sole purpose of a troll is to anger and distract you? These people are not idiots, just as Fagen and the board are not incompetent idiots. The trolls on this page are political foot soldiers, trained to do exactly what they are doing, which is to distract you from focusing and acting on the real issues. Think about it, when were the trolls the most active? At election time, during controversial program rollouts, during the open negotiations. Why? Because they knew you would take the bait and get so wound up about proving these bad people wrong that you would be too angry and distracted to do anything productive. Trust me, they study and know how to use social media, and you are playing right into their hands. And theyre laughing the whole time. So now here come the trolls again. Why? Because you are starting to expose an issue where they are vulnerable and can be exposed and beaten- Innovation schools. And whats happened? There have been more posts and threads about Bill then about mobilizing against Innovation schools. And look whats happening - the window to organize against Innovation status is quickly closing and still no one knows which schools are applying, so consequently no one is educating those key parents and teachers to vote against it. But weve sure shown Bill, havent we. So from here on out, when the trolls show up, know that youre onto something. Its a sign that youre doing the right digging. But whatever you do, dont take the bait.
