Tropical Cyclone Warning#7 for Tropical Storm #Mekkhala Source: Roshin Rowjee Click: DoctorAdvice4u * PHILIPPINES: Tropical Storm #Amang / #Mekkhala (88 kph) - Landfall Blog, Message to Pope Francis, Maps, Satellite on site. ------------- TROPICAL FORMATION ALERT --------------- Although not official, satellite imagery and other data, suggest Tropical Depression 01W has transformed into Tropical Storm AmangPH/ Mekkhala with winds 91 kph. AmangPH is moving to the west at 11 kph towards the Eastern Visayas region. Presently, models are conflicted on the exact track of Amang. Some reliable models predict an initial landfall in the Eastern Visayas region followed by possible, subsequent landfall(s) in the Bicol region and Luzon. Other models suggest as Amang approaches Eastern Samar Island, the tropical storm will turn north than northeast out to sea. The conflicting models should NOT prevent early preparation for this approaching storm. All people living in regions #2/#3#4/#5/#8 should be closely monitoring and preparing for possible landfall of Amang. At the moment, regions #5/#8 (Eastern Visayas and Bicol) have the highest probabilities of approach, if not a possible landfall; thus, prepare accordingly. Tropical Storm Amang is a healthy system that is likely to change Pope Francis itinerary and scheduled visits to areas devastated by Super Typhoon Haiyan (November 2013).
