Tropical Depression Number two has slowed down a bit as it approached the coast of southern Belize. At 3 pm today, TD-2 was about 10 miles east-north-east of Monkey River village. TD-2 is carrying maximum sustained wind of 35 miles per hour and its movement was clocked at 12 miles per hour traveling on a west-north-westerly track. By nightfall, TD-2 should make landfall over southern Belize and continue its pass over the country and then heading to northern Guatemala tonight and early tomorrow morning. TD-2 is forecast to emerge in the southern Bay of Campeche by early Wednesday.
