***Tropical Storm 09W update*** Tropical Storm 09W is still expected pass over or very near Guam Saturday morning around sunrise. This is earlier than previous forecasts so preparations for the storm should be completed before the onset of damaging winds late tonight and early Saturday morning. Sustained tropical storm force winds of 50 to 60 mph with gusts to 70 mph are still possisble early Saturday morning. Peripheral showers and thunderstorms have aleady begun across the Marianas with additional rainfall of 3 to 6 inches possible during the next 24 hours. Flash flooding is also possible with the heaviest showers. Below is the forecast track, satellite image of 09W and radar image showing increasing showers and thunderstorms across the Marianas.
