Tropical Storm Bertha Update, 07.01.2014, 2:15 pm : Bertha is by Martinique. Lat 14.5N Long 60.3W; approx 350 miles S of STX. Moving now at 295°. (Note, this am it was 270°, so it has shifted more NW in movement). 50 mph sustained with higher gusts. TS Force Winds extend 115 miles out from center mainly to NE of Bertha. Expect heavy rains on USVI & BVI Saturday morning & E PR by daybreak & continue thru Saturday night. Possible up to 7 inches of rain in USVI. Isolated Tornado possible. Please those under any Warnings, finish your preparations Now. Mariners, please complete your final securing of your crafts. Also be aware, some intra-island Ferries may quit running at a certain time. We do not know this, just for your awareness. We will monitor Bertha closely for you & keep you updated.
