Tropical Storm Dorian Update Here is the latest from the Coastal Weather Research Center at the University of South Alabama. "Tropical Storm Dorian continues to march westward across the central tropical Atlantic Ocean. Dorian is much less organized compared to a couple of days ago and appears to be weakening. The storm is presently located around 1200 miles east of Antigua in the Leeward Islands. As the storm approaches the general vicinity of Hispaniola and the eastern Bahamas there is less certainty in the ultimate path of Dorian. There are two likely scenarios based on present conditions. Scenario #1: The storm could attempt a northward turn over the western Bahamas or near Florida. Scenario #2: The storm could continue moving more westward into late next week. Bottom Line: At the present time, a more westward track of a weak system favoring Scenario #2 is the most likely forecast situation. All interests in coastal areas of the southeastern United States should continue to monitor Dorian’s progress."
