Tropical storm Hagupit is moving towards South Vietnam at near 10 mph and is approximately 533 NM east-northeast of Ho Chi Minh City. Hagupit will dissipate quickly after encountering the coast, likely within 30 hours. It will bring rough conditions to the coast, and gusty winds, with locally heavy rains to the area. A Severe Tropical Storm Warning is currently in effect for southern Vietnam. Over the next couple days, there are two areas of disturbed weather with a chance of developing. One with a medium chance (Invest 90S) in the South Indian Ocean, approximately 200 NM north of Cocos Island. The other is being given a low chance (Invest 96W) in the western Pacific, about 310 NM southeast of Yap.
