Troubles in our lives are not rare, and they should not be unexpected. We may imagine that our lives will run along smoothly until something goes wrong, but that is not an accurate view of life! In Job 14:1 we read, Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble. In the New Testament we also read in 2 Timothy 3:12, Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. These verses give us a realistic view of life on earth. We can expect problems, and we need to know how to deal with them. We can pretend troubles will never come, but we are only fooling ourselves. We can try to bluff and bully our way through, pretending that we do not feel the pain, but that attitude never relieves the pain, it only delays the misery for a moment. We can trust the Lord and turn our troubles over to Him. We can wait patiently for God to accomplish His will in our lives, and we can be careful to give Him the glory for all our blessings. When we do, we have found a way to deal honestly with our trials and apparent defeats. Today, just give Him all your troubles and trials and lean on Him! God Bless You
