True Courage I very seldom purchase stamps that are not the Forever Stamps that are the American Flag. This time I purchased Rosa Parks courage stamps because I needed to pull from her strength. It took courage to run up and down those dangerous trails to help others to escape from slavery but she did it to help her others. When I left from Maryland, I recall experiencing three feelings: scared, excitement, and anger. I was scared because I never journeyed 2 days by car by myself. Scared because even though I knew who I would be staying with I did not know what to expect. My car is 10 years old and I have little money. I could not sleep and live out of my car no longer and bath in public bathrooms. I was excited because Jesus opened the door and heart of someone I admired for years to allow me shelter even though it was in Texas. I was excited over the adventure of the drive and the country I would see. I had excitement for a good chapter starting in my life, pray fully. I was angry because so many people in Maryland let me down. Angry because I should never had to relocate for housing unless it was with a job. Angry because some of the promises I thought would come to past had became non existing. Angry because I did not understand why Jesus would allow me to go through such pain when I have been so faithful. I asked God but kept moving forward. I thought about Rosa Parks and the humiliation she encountered but than I thought about the support she received. I said if she had the courage to keep moving forward to not only better her life but others than I can too. I am a licensed athlete agent that God has deposited a zeal to help my athletes in the NBA, NFL, and MLB in whatever life cycle they are in and help them to reach their God given goals, dreams, and aspirations.
