True Food Kitchen - Lenox Mall Well i promised to give honest reviews and include the good and bad. Today was the second time I have been to True Foods and honestly, still a bit disappointed. Not sure if it was my high expectations being a huge Andrew Weil fan or that I am already cooking this way at home now so was looking for something more while dining out. Here is my experience... Look forward to hearing about yours! Xo jen First time: was a turkey burger disaster. Think the kitchen honestly served the turkey sandwhich meat instead of a burger.. But I sent it back as it just tasted wrong was kinda pressed particle board turkey and I was expecting a juicy turkey burger. Today, I went back with my husband for lunch. Michael had the Red Chili Shrimp with Sesame Noodles, Spinach and Shiitake Mushrooms - he said it was Ok but not great enough to come back... His had regular noodles but could be made with gf rice noodles. We shared the smoked salmon dip with gf pita chips.. Very fresh and I appreciate knowing all is organic, hormone free & anti- inflammatory.. I then had the Kale salad...fabulous marinade but still just Kale with a bit of parmesan and same as what i toss at home. Was $54 lunch pre-tip....im just not hugely impressed so far :( which I hate as it is a great, healthy and gf safe place to eat... I do like their organic, fresh pressed juices/ drinks. I will stop by for a drink every time at Lenox and get it to go. For $5.00 I had a tall glass of the Kale Lemonade with apple, celery, cucumber, lemon & ginger ( i add fresh juiced tumeric to mine) no extra charge... Fabulously yummy and really helps my joints etc.. I just always feel better after... This is also cheaper than Dtox bar and Whole Foods and all organic ( whole foods juices are not always) ... Gluten Free Note: I just looked at the gf symbol at first on menu and felt limited but actually most all can be prepared gf - even though not labeled.. They have gf buns, pita bread/ chips, noodles & pizza - so actually 80 percent of menu then becomes gf... I do feel they get celiac more than most and are set up to be safe .... And there is definitely a price to pay for that! I was able to enjoy a great full day of fun with my hubby following!! Xo, jen
