True Peace—An Exercise True peace is when you no longer feel - TopicsExpress

True Peace—An Exercise True peace is when you no longer feel the need to crack the whip, when you no longer feel the need to defend, but to accept. It is hard when you have taken life away from you, only to find emptiness within you. Feel that emptiness, but first recognize the part of you that is hungry. That is what creates internal and external wars. Hunger creates disturbance. Some part of life must be fed to you, but more importantly, some part of you is hungry. Imagine you can grow into a large building, a large tree, a tower, a river, or a mountain. What do you feel you need to be at this time? The tree--You want to be able to go with the wind. You need freedom and flexibility. You need to be able to move with life and not against it. You have so much resistance right now. You just want the freedom of being free and not being afraid you’re going to fall from the stem you hold on to. If you chose the building, you want structure. No matter what happens, you never feel secure in taking care of you. You want need in your life, but you need the tools to help you get what you feel you need. You need structure, a platform to stand upon. You want to be able to overcome that fear of not having continuity, of not having that foundation. If you chose the tower, you need something to work toward. You are lost without purpose. You feel choices are forced upon you and not given to you. No matter where you are, no matter what you’ve accomplished, you still have no peace with you. If you chose the river, you want peace. You want to be able to find joy in you, and you don’t want any more conflict. You want to escape and soften life. You try hard to give too much to those you love, wanting desperately for them to have peace in their world. And lastly, if you chose the mountain, you want to be able to see the world ahead of you and find peace in what you see you are to become. You look at your life and realize what you have accomplished is enough...
