True Story. The Manson Family Murders occurred on my birthday, August 9, 1969. Then the next day I got busted by the cops for smoking pot. A few days later, I was in L.A. County Jail in downtown Los Angeles with Charles Manson and Charles Tex Watson. Thanks, Charlie. I was being taken to my cell when the prison guards coming down the corridor toward me were leading both of these killers in chains and leg-irons, coming directly toward me. Thanks, cops. I spent 8 days in jail before the charges against me were dropped by the judge at my hearing for lack of evidence. I missed my planned trip to Woodstock. Thanks, Charlie.
