True Story-long but I think many of you will appreciate this. I use to cut this persons hair. For 5 or more years. This person would always comment and have something negative to say about one of the other stylists because she had piercings and tattoos. (I have tattoos but they are usually hidden by my clothes) I would tell this person that she is a very sweet girl and a very good stylist and to not let her appearance bother them. (You will never hear me comment poorly about other stylist!! We all have our days and communication is a key element when satisfying a clients needs) Anyway, I would never allow anyone to disrespect the other stylist in the salon. I always appreciated her self expression and artistry. So, I ran onto this person and their spouse outside of the salon one day. At the walleye festival to be exact and my husband and I had rode the motorcycle up there and I was wearing a tank top. You could clearly see the tattoo on my arm. :) The couple approached us talking about riding and invited us to have drinks with them and then this person seen my arm. The expression on their face said it all and they hurried off. (I explained what I thought to be the reason to my husband so he did not take it personal and think it was something he said. Needless to say I never saw that person in the salon again. So here is my question? Why was I good enough ALL those years to cut your hair but as soon as you saw my tattoo suddenly I was a different person? This person who has greeted me at church, (the place where no judgement should ever occur. I wont say which one or who) also invited me to their home and offered to allow me to use their cabin on Kelleys Island. Even told me where the spare key is just in case my husband and I are over there and need a place to stay. Im sure its not there anymore. LOL I just find it very interesting how people measure a persons integrity when they just showed me theirs.
