True blessings are the things that we can not see or touch! We have been programmed by the world to look at this and look at that, look at what I got, look at what someone has. God isnt of this world, Christ isnt of this world, the Holy Spirit isnt of this world in fact we are just visitors of this world and this life, dont get caught up in the things that you can look at and physically touch. The word says to build your hope on things unseen, and store your treasures in heaven. Receiving Gods Spirit, having rest in Jesus, Understanding your salvation, belonging to God, developing a relationship with Christ, seeking Gods wisdom, having understanding of the word those are examples of true blessings, not new cars, new homes, new jobs, and all the other things that we put before God as idols. One thing Im learning is that even while I was lost out in the world thinking because I had this and that, that made me blessed, I wasnt even for God, I didnt think about him, didnt really care and I still had material things because material things are of the world those werent real blessings, nearly everyone has material possessions but when I made up my mind that I wanted to stop playing and really seek Christ I found peace, real love, joy, and rest and guess what all that material stuff that I thought were blessings God stretched them and multiplied them but he showed me the real blessings were in the Spirit. I chased the dream of owning a home for 6 years (my way) putting it before God, then I did it his way and it happened in 18 months, even when man and the devil tried to close doors in my face. Seek the kingdom first and find some understanding of what God wants for you and all the material stuff will be added as bonuses. Remember that God operates in the spiritual realm not in the physical, so it makes more sense when you come to realize the blessings he has that you cant see are the best things you could ever be equipped with thats why we are supposed to believe first and see it happen, but the world has programmed us to think that we should see it first, however the world and its way is always in contrary to God. All it takes is faith and a willing heart & mind for God to change your life around, trust me one of my mottos used to be I dont believe nothing til I see it, until God opened my eyes. For what good does it profit a man to gain the whole world and lose his soul (what good is it gonna do you to gain all the material things youre chasing and still be dead in the spirit, still be dead to God)? Without Christ living in you, youre dead, so dont be afraid to die. I used to be scared to die cause I knew I wasnt right with God then I realized I was already dead anyway, gone and marinate on that. Theres only one way to be counted as righteous in Gods eyes...
