True faith will only be attained through loving the Messenger of Allah. While the highest level is to love him ﷺ more than you love your own self. The companions themselves struggled to claim this rank, even though they were willing to die for him. Abu Dujjana in the battle of Uhud, completely covered the Prophet ﷺ to protect him, to the point that his own back was almost entirely pierced with arrows, yet he still did not flinch out of concern and love for the Messenger. Abu Bakr (r.a) was bitten by a snake in the cave of Thaur, yet he also did not flinch so that he would not disrupt the Messenger ﷺ who who was sleeping on his lap. May Allah grant us this true love for the Messenger and allow us to uphold his noble tradition.
