True love hits the hip pocket but so will low level speeding. A 29-year-old driver had his car impounded after he was caught travelling double the speed limit in Brighton this morning. The St Kilda East man was allegedly detected speeding at 160km/h in an 80km/h zone along the Nepean Highway near the intersection of Byron Street about 2.20am. When asked why he was speeding, he said he was in a hurry to visit his girlfriend. He is expected to be charged on summons with conduct endangering persons and speed dangerous.
