True story 2010 - ( written in 2012) Australia First Party - Tania Rollinson. …Not one for thinking about any cultural differences. In 2010 I dropped my car off at the Mechanics in Auburn an Arab State -(suburb of Sydney). I was walking along the street shopping and I noticed an Aussie woman arguing with about three Muslim men and no one coming to her defence. I stopped to observe and scan the situation. She was a big solid Austraian person around 28 looking probably a little tipsy but still able to hold a conversation. The men were large in size and superior in strength and I knew that antagonism and discord was brewing in the air. They were mocking her and she was giving them there monies worth saying that “they should not be in our country ect. I told the proprietor of the outdoor café that they should ring the police. The Muslim Café kept about their business and shrugged it off and said, “I am busy” and took the attitude of - too bad, so what; So I found a person and rang the police and their behaviour showed me that no help would come. (I was worried for her safety), I felt compelled to protect her from them which was clearly a situation being exacerbated by the three Muslim men. I was 47 years old, 5’3 in height 8 1/2 stone and skinny, but very strong and unafraid. I stepped up to the men who were much bigger than me and got the attention of the one who had the biggest mouth and looking straight into his eyes and with a strong stance of courage , boldness and strength of character keeping eye contact at all times, I said “ what seems to be the problem”. The guy started giggling and trying to turn me against her but she was my ally, he did not comprehend, I regarded us as sisters in this crisis. I said, “She is a bit tipsy leave her alone and walk away, she‘ll go home. The Muslim tried to encourage me and told me to belt her up and I said, “No way, I’m not going to hit her for you” and I had a contemptuous laugh as I replied.” The both of us women now kept an eye out for each other. I kept direct eye contact at all times. He looked at me frowning and I saw his eyes think, he then understood that there was unity between Australians and we are not cowards. He knew I was different as my demeanour and stance portrayed. It was on for young and old. The crowded shop of captivated, curious Muslim onlookers just watched as the overgrown Muslim Bully approached me. The woman threw herself in front of me to stop his access and vice versa each time he approached one of us. In the end she walked away as I did when we were both safe. The Muslim Bully did not follow us. We both escaped unharmed and not until the ordeal was over did I stop to think fully of my situation but I would do it again regardless of the consequences. Muslims have no distinction between their camel and their women and we need to watch out for each other and do our bit to ensure the safety of our brothers and sisters and the survival of our way of life.
