True story... last night I had one of my most interesting experiences in quite awhile. I saw a beautiful young Lady and thought She looks familiar. I think we had a date A LONG time ago. I approached Her and just as I was about to say Excuse me, I think... She said Hey Im really enjoying Your solo albums. My favorite songs are #4 and 5. Just then I realized that She had just seen my band play at Burts last month. She continued on about how much She enjoyed the show and had bought 2 t-shirts (one with my face on it). Then She said It was nice meeting You. I said Yeah... but... hey... did You ever shop at Whole Foods? She got a perplexed look on Her face. After a LONG pause... She said Yeah... maybe once or twice. Why? I said Because I think about 10 years ago, I was a cashier there, You came through my line and gave me Your phone #. I came over to Your place and we made out. Her jaw dropped... and Her eyes bugged out. It was as if someone had just turned the awkward knob up to 11. She spent the next 10 or 15 minutes saying how embarrassed She was, which of course was not my intent. I thought it was hilarious that I did not remember meeting Her a month ago, and how, at first, neither of us remembered hanging out 10 years ago. Eventually She introduced me to Her husband and said to him Hey this is THAT GUY, the one that I made out with in my apartment 10 years ago that I was telling You about!. So apparently I WAS MEMORABLE! And it dawned on me that after 10 years, if I wear enough makeup, I can become somebody new, even to someone who has been telling Her husband about me for years. Good to know.... Then She asked me if I wanted to buy Her a drink and hang out. I said What about Your husband? She said Hes cool. I declined.... and was off in search of another... ahem... memorable adventure. -Little Bobby, THAT GUY ♡♡♡
