True story that happened today. I was at a store and there was a lady in front of me checking out. The cashier asked her if she wanted to donate her 22 cents to help the homeless vets. Her response was, why? They know how to defend themselves. I about flipped my lid. I hurried up and tried to get outside to give her a piece of my mind. I thought for sure I might have gone to jail over this. I couldnt believe how cold hearted she was. A simple no would have done. I went back into the store. The cashier and I talked about it. She told me that she could see that I supported the troops. I said you better believe I do. She said she could tell by my purse. I told her that it was made with my husbands uniform and that he is always by my side. I carry it proudly. If I would have thought about it I would have given the cashier her 22 cents. The nerve of some people. Im still fuming over this. Its bothered me all day. But I must try to build a bridge and get over it.
