True true. It is sad to hear that these animals were killed ...I wish MNDF explored other options and tried to find connections with relevant international organizations that could have assisted the safe exportation of such animals...HOWEVER, breaching the regulations and having such animals at your care as pets without undergoing proper quarantine procedures is simply putting the whole population at risk for communicable diseases caused by animals that acts as reservoirs of viruses and bacterias that can cause diseases within our community. Neither is our population immune to such diseases or infections (because these animals are not native to our country so we havent had any previous exposure to such viruses, bacterias and other microorganisms to make us acquire immunity) nor do we have the capacity to tend to these animals when they are sick. - Shamah
