Truly a day of honoring and celebrating a wonderful womans life. The family gathered today to pray and share stories about my Mom. There was much laughter and a few tears shed. But truly a different experience than one year ago. We will still have moments of tears and missing her but the strength of our faith and the love of family and friends allowed us to be able to play and laugh more today. As we came home from the cemetery, there was a beautiful sunset to notice and take in. And now I am eating one of Moms favorite breakfast dishes (since I could not fix it this morning) to end the day. I truly again want to thank my family and friends who walked with me and understood me even when I was distant and lost! Truly no matter how old you are, the love, care and support of your parents is so important. And so now the norm is to cherish and support my family as my Mom did for us!
