Truly mixed feelings about leaving STVE Physical Therapy today...We were hoping to be able to just come straight home with Home Health, but Amos is not quite strong enough yet, so we were able to get him into Golden Living for extended Physical Therapy and hopefully home in a couple of weeks. He is recovering his physical strength slowly but surely and we are believing that he will be able to maneuver himself with a walker and able to eat completely on his own without the help of a peg for nutritional purposes...He was not very happy about being so close to home and not being able to sleep in his own bed tonight. Hopefully he will be rested tomorrow and have a brighter outlook on things. I feel a bit overwhelmed dealing with oxygen tanks and wheelchairs but have confidence that God is bringing us through this ordeal victoriously. Pray for all nurses and caregivers...They are so very over-worked and under staffed..my heart has truly been touched by their dedication and hard work. I am posting a few pics of the final few days in Physical Therapy and some of the awesome people that gave so much of themselves to see that Amos was well taken care of and comfortable..Many of them were members of Church of the Highlands which made us all feel like family...and they truly loved Famous Amos and was inspired by his courage and faith....
