Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding, but in all thy ways, acknowledge Him and HE shall make thy paths straight. Prov. 3:5-6 Trust = having faith in, completely depending upon for ones life, sustenance, everything. With all thine heart -- no halfsies welcome -- you are either in or out, choose you this day whom you will serve - God accepts only all or nothing at all -- He who does not forsake all...who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me... Lean NOT unto thine own understanding -- presents the fact that we do have our own will, and our own opinion about things, BUT that we are not to rely on those!!! We are to RELY solely upon GOD and HIS WORD, being led by HIS HOLY SPIRIT! This does not mean that we are not to think or learn -- but that without Gods help, we cannot UNDERSTAND --get ye wisdom and with your getting, get understanding (Prov. 4:7). In all thy ways ---means you have your ways - and then God has His. Acknowledge Him -- put your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and His finished work - exclusively and then He will make your paths straight -- God will straighten out the crooked things in you and I, when we believe and are saved, and then walking that same FAITH in Christ and Him crucified! amen! The Grace of God leads us to understanding - to grow in the knowledge and grace of the Lord Jesus Christ. amen. God bless.
