Truth Btwn us Atheism- Jon Mestas We as Christians believe in God and atheists dont, to put it simply Some arguments against wanting to believe in God is that throughout history so many wars and terrible things were done in the name of God. Why would they want to believe in a God that caused that? Atheists are trying to end superstition and demand the truth. They dont want to use God to oppress people Atheists sometimes use science to explain things that occur in our universe. Science will never disprove God. Science is based on cause and effect and something had to have caused things from the beginning in order for everything else to follow. Things just dont decide to start (i.e. Big Bang) Circles and rectangles dont have anything in common besides the fact that they are shapes. However, they come together in a cylinder. If you look at it straight on, you can see the rectangle and circle working together Often we cannot reach atheists through faith arguments if they are dead set on science. It takes bringing both those ideas together in order to reach out Matthew 16:13. We believe in Jesus as the Son of Man because God is working in our lives and is revealing that fact to us If you are struggling with this as a truth: Seek God. If you seek Him, he is not going to hide himself from you. God wants to be found. Gods story interacts with us
