Truth John 8:30-31 31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. 32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free. John 14:6 “… I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus speaking in the above scripture could have just said (I am the way and the life) but He said (The Way, The Truth and The Life) So Jesus is truth and Jesus is also the Word (John 1:1, 14) Hence we can look at this scripture as (Then you will know JESUS, and JESUS will set you free) Im not writing this because I have perfected my life. To be honest I have my own battles Im fighting not only in this, but also different areas but Im willing God work on those. Ive seen fancy words like Hurt me with the Truth rather than soothe me with lies but to be honest, there is nothing more terrifying to people like The Truth, next to death. One of the reasons I feel convicted by the holy spirit about this issue is actually because. Id rather shut my mouth up than hurt anyone with Truth (there still you can replace the word Truth with Jesus) We live in a world where you have to walk around looking down because you just might step on someones toes (NB that someone can easily be me) we prefer blending in or simply turning a blind eye. Rather then stand for the Truth. come to think of it even when Jesus(The Truth) walked on this earth He was hated for The Truth. What terrifies most of us about Truth: Read: John 3:21 The Truth(Jesus) brings light. We push away anything that might expose our wickedness. As if what people dont see God doesnt see too. (Mark 8:36) When The Truth [Jesus, The Word] comes, It becomes like Turning the light on in a dark room with cockroaches, He exposes all the areas that we need to let Him work on, in us. Staying in the dark and ignoring the fact that there are cockroaches there doesnt make them go away. But when we Turn on the light we are able to see, and get rid of them. Let each of us take a look at ourselves. Let not the plans of the enemy succeed in breaking the body of Christ, by either Making us Hide The Truth from those who need it. Or by using The Truth to wound us. We choose what we want at the end.. The Truth can either groom us, bring us wisdom and the most complete healing. Or when twisted by the enemy, or when we run from it, can wound us. Earlier I said Jesus Is also the word (John 1:1, 14) Let the word bring light and let your conviction come from The Truth. And lastly Zachariah 8:16 These are the things you are to do: Speak the truth to each other, and render true and sound judgment in your courts Let there be a longing for Truth in us.
