Truth about the villain of Mahabharata - Duryodahana 1) True name of Durjodon is Suyodhan , After Mahabharata war Yudisthara ask his royal scribe to distort his name so as to defame him for ever 2) Bishma- the grand old man of Mahabharata fought in favour of Duryodhana because he took oath to protect the true king of Hastinapur. 3) Legally the true heir to the thron of Hastinapur was Duryodhana and not Yudisthara. (Duryodhan was the eldest son of the king Drithrastra) 4) Pandu hold the thorn only as a representative of Drithrastra which was self confessed by pandu himself so his eldest son Yudisthara cant be the heir to the thron even if he is elder to Duryodhana. 5) Durpadi was publically stripped by Dusasana because she insulted Duryodhana by calling him Blind son of a blind father. 6 Insulting a king by calling him blind was a heinous offense and subject to capital punishment in those times yet the king set her free because Drithrastra was a great king 7) Bhisma was under no obligation and he could have protected Durpadi while she was stripped but he remains inactive. In fact stripping story is over exaggerated, there was just a symbolic insult of Durpudi instigated by Duryodhana through Dusasana. As Durpadi has committed a crime by calling king as Blind she was symbolically insulted by Dusasana. Symbolic insult happened in few moments and Bhisma didnt get enough time to respond. 8) Fact No. 1 : Du means Bad and Su means good or auspicious Fact No. 2 : Dritrastra -the king of kaurava immensely loved his son Suyodhana/ Duryodhana. Now combining the two facts above, how can one conclude that Dritrastra who loves his son so much can give such a bad name. How can Dritrastra think of giving such a name which strats with Du to his beloved son. (for eg.Durjan, Dusth durdasha etc etc) 9) Krishna providing a never ending strip of sari to Durpadi cant be true because: a) If such a thing would have happened then people would have started worshiping Duropadi but there is no such temple or place where Duropodi is worshiped. b) Even Durjadhan and Dushasan could have started worshiping Durpodi for showing such a miraculous act. c) Unlike Puranas and other mythological stories the story of Mahabharata is basically characterized with realistic stories but krishna providing never ending strip of sari is unrealistic and is not in conformity with the basic idea behind the story. 10) Pandu was cursed by a sage when he mistakenly killed a sage couple which forbids him to copulate with his wives So Yudisthra, Bhima and Arjuna were not the biological son of Pandu they were simply adopted by him. And Pandu adopting Yudisthara, Bhima and Arjuna as his sons are witnessed by none. So it cant be verified. 11) Being an adopted son and that too cant be verified due to lack of witness , how can Yudistra claim the thorn of Hastinapur? 12)a) In laws of both Dristrasra ( Gandhar naresh) and Pandu (Kuntiboj) were both targeting to capture the rich kingdom of Hastinapur which rules almost the entire India during that period. b) So Sakuni (brother in law) settled in hastinapur itself . c) And possibly the three kid Yudisthara, Bhima and Arjuna were provided by Kuntibhoj after the death of Pandu, so as to capture the Hastinapur kingdom. 13) Five Pandvas were known to be very much egoistic and their behavior towards weaker section people was not good . They insulted Karna for being a Soot Putra But on the other side Duryodhana accepted him and recognized his talent. Duryodhana told the gathering that talented people are beyond any caste , creed or culture ! 14)Kaurvas are blamed for killing Abhamanyu by breaking the rules of war but the truth is that it was Pandava were the first to start breaking the rules. They Killed Bhisma immorally by breaking the existing rule. 15) Allmost every maharathi of kaurava- Bhisma, Dronacharya , Karna, Duryodha etc were all killed by breaking mutually agreed rules of the war. 16) Padavs lost almost everything in the game of dice but the great king Dhritrastra took pity on them and returned everything back to them. 17) In those days for Kshtriya people the game of dice was of great reputation , if you are losing anything than its under law to surrender everything that was lost. but Yudisthra was such a coward that he happily took back when it was returned by the king Dritrastra 18 ) Some people blamed that Sakuni decepted them by using tricky dice. but I think it just an excuse because the game was played and witnessed by every wise people of the kingdom. How was sukuni able to decept all of them and yet go unnoticed. 19) If the game was deceptive than why did the shameless Yudisthara accepted again the second invitation to play one more game of dice. In fact it was due to greed of yudisthara that pandava lose everything 20) Actually Yudisthara was addicted to the game of dice.
