Try adding this method to the last rep of your shoulder press sets. Similar to other methods of increasing the intensity of the lift, this technique made famous by Dennis James utilizes a super slow concentric component. While I do not believe in training like this consistently, tagging this at the end of a lift can dramatically increase time under tension. I like adding a small up and down component as I go upward as well, but the exercise can be done without that added.
