Try describing Thanksgiving to a non US citizen. In doing so, I think you will be amazed at your own words. Then, remember to describe it to your children or grandchildren so that it will be meaningful to them as well-its more than the turkey and trimmings, although the meal is important to the holiday. The historical facts are often debated,; I think its the gathering of family and friends and the memories that are the most important aspects of the day. Old memories that are recalled and related to the younger generation and new memories that are being created.
