Try looking up the comparisons between number of deaths caused by cancer vs those caused by depression... Were always seeing ads to donate to charities that help cure cancer. Thats great. My granddad had cancer, and Macmillan nurses were WONDERFUL! But... No one wants to talk about depression. Its not like a broken arm or a ailment you can see... And yeah, people look at you differently if you tell them you have depression. This comes from someone whose husband has suffered from it for nearly all the time weve been together - and thats 30 years now. And other family member suffer from it too.
