Trying to become or remain a motivated person is one of the most - TopicsExpress

Trying to become or remain a motivated person is one of the most futile of all traits. Every attempt I made was met with serious disappointment. I then made a simple switcheroo. I swapped out the word Motivation for Inspiration. When you’re “inspired” no one including yourself need propel/motivate you towards what ever it is you desire. Inspiration is a clear detector that you’re operating within your very own set of values. On the other hand, Motivation requires an external set of values that most often do not belong to you. We all know when we’re truly inspired. Creativity is flowing, time evaporated, and you pop up at the other end of creating something much like being spat out on the side of the freeway in Being John Malkovich movie. When the word pops up now, (in my noggin), I use it as an early detection mechanism. Am I in fact operating from a set of values that belongs to me or someone else? Keep in mind, Inspiration’s is an inside job! If the word falls from my mouth, permission is hereby given to slap me!
